Renal impaiment in children > 3 months
In reduced renal function, the AUC of both tenofovir and emtricitabine increases. The risk of side effects is elevated as a result.
30-50 ml/min: 1 tablet containing 200 mg emtricitabine + 245 mg tenofovir every 2 days
10-30 ml/min 1 tablet containing 200 mg emtricitabine + 245 mg tenofovir every 3-4 days
10 ml/min: no generalized recommendations are given

Side effects in children
