      • Start with the lowest possible concentration 1 drop(s)/dose 2-3x daily.
      • No studies have been carried out into the use of pilocarpine in children. 

         

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months

GFR ≥10 ml/min/1.73m2: Dose adjustment not required.

GFR <10 ml/min/1.73m2: A general recommendation on dose adjustment cannot be provided.

In children, the tear duct should be occluded with a finger for 1 minute to reduce systemic absorption.

Primary Congenital Glaucoma: Cases of paradoxical increases in IOP have been reported in children. Be aware of that when controlling intraocular pressure (IOP).
