Warnings & precautions in children

Use with caution in children and patients with hepatic and/or renal impairment because of the elevated risk of systemic side effects; there is also an increased risk of salicylism in children and patients with severe renal impairment. Use in children can rapidly cause adrenal cortex suppression and also growth hormone suppression; in the event of prolonged use, regular checks on height and weight and determination of plasma cortisol levels are recommended.
