  • Oral
    • 1 month up to 18 years
      • Calciumcarbonate: 50 - 100 mg/kg/day in 3 doses. Max: 12 g/day.
        Corresponding to: Elemental calcium (Ca2+):

        - 20-40 MG/kg/day max. 4,8 g/day
        - 0,499 – 0,998 MMOL/kg/day, max. 119,76 mmol/day.
        • Dependent on the diet (calcium/phosphate intake).
    • 1 month up to 18 years

Warnings & precautions in children

In the case of mild hypercalciuria (exceeding 0.12 - 0.015 mmol or 4.8-0.6 mg / kg / 24 hours in children), in renal insufficiency and in nephrolithiasis carefully control the excretion of calcium and phosphate in the urine; in the case of increased excretion, the dosage must be reduced or the calcium therapy discontinued [SmPC].
