Dosages

Hypotension and vasodilatory shock with refractory hypotension
  • Intravenous
    • Gestational age < 37 weeks
      • 0.01 - 0.12 IU/kg/hour, continuous infusion. Corresponding to 0,17-2 milli-IU/kg/MIN.
        • Titrate dose to effect
        • Dose reductions of concomittant vasopressors may be needed
    • Term neonate
      • 0.01 - 0.12 IU/kg/hour, continuous infusion. Corresponding to 0,17- 2 milli-IU/kg/MIN.
        • Titrate dose to effect.
        • Dose reductions of concomittant vasopressors may be needed
    • 1 month up to 18 years
      • 0.01 - 0.12 IU/kg/hour, continuous infusion. Corresponding to 0,17- 2 milli-IU/kg/MIN.
        • Titrate dose to effect.
