Inflammatory, non-infectious conditions of the conjunctiva, uveitis and post-operative
  • Ocular
    • 0 years up to 18 years
      • 0.1% eye drops: 1 drop(s)/dose 4x daily.
      • In serious cases, more frequent administration may be required, up to 1 drop every 2 hours.

        Topically more effective than fluorometholone. Application of corticosteroids to the eye should be done under the supervision of an ophthalmologist.

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months

In patients on long-term corticosteroid therapy, intraocular pressure, cornea and lens should be routinely and closely checked. This is of particular importance in pediatric patients, as the risk of corticoid-induced ocular hypertension is higher in children and may occur earlier than in adults [SmPC Spersadex].
