Cystinuria
  • Oral
    • ≥ 9 years
      • Initial dose: 15 mg/kg/day in 3 doses.
      • Maintenance dose: If necessary raise it depending on the effect to a maximum of 50 mg/kg/day in 3 doses.
      • Treatment by or after consultations with a paediatric specialist (metabolic disorders/nephrologist) who has experience with using tiopronin for this indication.

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months

GFR ≥10 ml/min/1.73m2: Dose adjustment not required.

GFR <10 ml/min/1.73m2: A general recommendation on dose adjustment cannot be provided.
