Adrenal cortex carcinoma
  • Oral
    • 1 month up to 18 years

      • The dosage and dosing frequency of oncological agents depend on the condition and are very much subject to new insights. Oncological drugs are often used in combinations. For this reason, please refer to the detailed treatment protocols (see www.skion.nl). Indicative dosages have been stated by the manufacturer:

        Initially: 1.5-3.5 g/m²/day in 2-3 doses, gradually increase to 4 g/m²/day until plasma levels of 14-20 mg/l are attained. Lower the dose after 2-3 months, based on plasma concentrations.

      • Directions for administration:

        Take with food that contains fat

      • The plasma concentration should be checked every 2 weeks during treatment, weekly in the case of high starting doses, and every 2 months after interruptions of the treatment.

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months

GFR ≥10 ml/min/1.73m2: Dose adjustment not required.

GFR <10 ml/min/1.73m2: A general recommendation on dose adjustment cannot be provided.
