Dosages

Constipation
  • Oral
    • ≥ 4 years

      • 2.5 - 5 mg/day in 1 dose Take in the evening..
        • If the effect is insufficient, the dosage can be increased on a trial basis, dosage average 1 mg per 5 kg body weight, max 10 mg/day
        • In functional constipation and impaction: in combination with macrogol for 3 days.
        • Do not use for longer than 2 weeks. Effect diminishes with daily use, therefore preferably use intermittently.
    • 4 years up to 10 years

Warnings & precautions in children

In children, apply only on the advice of a physician. In children < 4 years of age, sodium picosulfate is less effective, as in these children the intestinal microflora is not yet sufficiently developed.
