Primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease); congenital adrenal hyperplasia (adrenogenital syndrome) with salt loss
  • Oral
    • Term neonate
      • 50 - 200 microg./day in 1 - 2 doses.

      • Children under 1 year: fludrocortisone combined with extra salt (0.2 g/kg/day, spread over the day)

    • 1 month up to 18 years
      • 50 - 200 microg./day in 1 - 2 doses.

      • Children under 1 year: fludrocortisone combined with extra salt (0.2 g/kg/day, spread over the day)

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months
