Topical anaesthesia for ENT procedures
  • Mucosal
    • 1 month up to 18 years
      • Apply cocaine at a maximum concentration of 4% to the mucous membranes.  Maximum dose: 3 mg/kg (max 200 mg) per procedure

         

      • No studies have been conducted into the use of cocaine in children for surgical ENT interventions.

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months

GFR ≥10 ml/min/1.73m2: Dose adjustment not required.

GFR <10 ml/min/1.73m2: A general recommendation on dose adjustment cannot be provided.
