Dosages

Infections with gastrointestinal parasites (Enterobius vermicularis/Oxyuren (pinworm), Ancylostoma duodenale (hookworm))
  • Oral
    • 6 months up to 18 years

      • 10 mg/kg/dose, once only. Max: 1 g/dose.
      • Oxyuren: repeat therapy after 2 – 4 weeks
        Other infections:  if necessary repeat therapy after max. 6 months

Infections with Necator americanus (American hookworm)
  • Oral
    • 6 months up to 18 years

      • 10 mg/kg/day in 1 dose. Max: 1 g/dose. for 3 days..
      • Alternative: 20 mg/kg/dose, max. 1 g/dose for 2 days

         If necessary repeat therapy after max. 6 months

Infections with Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm)
  • Oral
    • 6 months up to 18 years

      • 5 mg/kg/dose, once only. Max: 1 g/dose.
