Vancomycin is usually not absorbed into the blood after oral administration. In the treatment of pseudomembranous colitis, resorption may occur after oral administration.

Clostridium difficile infection
  • Oral
    • ≥ 12 years

      • 500 mg/day in 4 doses. for 10 days. .
        • In severe infections: 2000 mg / day in 4 doses for 10 days
        • in relapses: 500 mg / day in 4 doses for 10 days, then gradually reduce dose to 125 mg per day or a pulse course of at least 3 weeks 125-500 mg per day every 2-3 days.

        Do not open capsules before administration.

    • 1 month up to 12 years

    • Term neonate
