Dosages

Immunization against tick-borne encephalitis
  • Intramuscular
    • 1 year up to 16 years

      • 1.2 microg./dose 3 doses. of which the first 2 doses should preferably be given during the winter before the start of the tick season with an interval of 1-3 months (or an interval of 14 days for the accelerated schedule) and the third dose 5-12 months after the second dose.
        • revaccinate with 1 dose 3 years after the basic immunization and then every 5 years.
        • If intramuscular administration is contraindicated (in clotting disorders) the vaccine can be administered subcutaneously
    • ≥ 16 years
