Dosages

Skin infections
  • Cutaneous
    • 1 month up to 18 years
      [2]
      • apply two or three times daily for a maximum of 10 days

Nasal infection (including MRSA)
  • Nasal
    • 1 month up to 18 years
      [2]
      • apply 2-3 times daily in both nostrils

      • Duration of treatment:

        For 5-7 days. Do not use for longer than 10 days because of the development of resistance.

      • In cases of MRSA eradication, mupirocin should be prescribed along with additional measures in consultation with the hospital hygiene department or an infectiologist.

Renal impaiment in children > 3 months

GFR ≥10 ml/min/1.73m2: Dose adjustment not required.

GFR <10 ml/min/1.73m2: A general recommendation on dose adjustment cannot be provided.
